After the intense media coverage of the several Snapchat Hacks that have plagued the social networks in the recent years, many security experts began questioning the extent of Snapchat's security. Snapchat did apologize for the Snapchat Hacks but words are not what is required, action is necessary. Especially an application like Snapchat that is meant to have the images deleted after they have been viewed can not afford to have any holes in their security because it threatens their entire business model if there are Snap Spy tools available that can see any image or video that has been sent or received from a Snapchat account.
It seems as if though Snapchat has taken the Snapchat Hack pretty serious. They have increased their security measures, which makes a lot of sense since they were placed under watch of the an independent FTC commission for at least 20 years. However, there are still hacks for Snapchat available on the internet.
If Snapchat wants to keep their image as a service wherein users are guaranteed that images they sent are deleted after they have been viewed then they certainly need to improve on their security even more. These Snapchat hacks after all threaten to turn people away from Snapchat. Who would want to use a service that is under constant threat of being hacked?
